B is for bunny....

Today we learned about the letter B....here we are playing with our class BUNNY! We also have lots of other things today, but the camera ran out of battery.  I will most more later!

K our name is kindergarten .......

We had a lot of fun with the book A my name is Alice.  We practiced our cutting skills by cutting heads out.

We sat nicely as all of us "read" our finished product..... 

Didn't we do a great job?!?!?

We also worked on getting our carpet caddies and working with a white board.  

Tuesday and Wednesday

We did a lot of talking about our names.  We graphed them to see how many letters are in our name and our friend's names.  

 Grandma is always a great helper.  

We are really loving to DANCE!  We like to shake our wiggles out!

 

 Mrs. Rice was here today.  She is our guidance counselor.  We talked about following directions.  Hopefully your kinder has told you how we follow directions! :)

Monday...learning our routines

Today we worked on learning about Daily 5.  We learned how to do read to self.  It was hard.  We tried to stay on task for 2 minutes.  We didn't quite make it, but we will try tomorrow!

When we do Read to self we read books.  There are three ways to read books: 1) read the pictures 2) read the words 3) retell the story

We always keep our eyes in the book.

 

We also worked on writing our names the "kindergarten way" These kiddos are having fun with names and dot markers.

Finally Friday...with Pete the Cat

We made a Pete the cat story map today...it was fun!
 

We also got to walk through the fun things that Pete walked through...it was fun and MESSY!
 

 

We practiced writing our numbers on each other's backs.  There were lots and lots of giggles...okay belly laughs!

Lots of fun learning....

Wow...we have made it though the first two full days of school.  We have had a lot of fun and done a lot of cool things.....we learned how to operate the smart board

made a really super cute racoon  and talked about the kissing hand.


We are learning to sit and listen and to raise our hands to talk.

It has been a VERY busy 2 days.  I LOVE the opportunity that I am having to spend with your children.  Thank you so much for letting me enjoy each and everyone of them!

First day of school

We had sooooo much fun today at Kindergarten.   We met new friends and learned all about the kissing hand.....I can't wait until tomorrow!

We made things from pattern blocks.

We had fun with shapes that linked together. 

Mrs. M painted our hands for a special present for our parents.....We hoped they loved it!

We DANCED....we LOVE to dance!

Chester the raccoon led us around the school on a tour.  We met some pretty amazing people!

 

We learned about the rules for the play ground.  And the playground was the funnest place around!
