It is so much fun that we are learning to read.

We LOVED watching the youtube video.

We made our own plaidypus toys.  We stuffed them....

We sewed them.

 It was so much fun!

It was hard work!

Aren't they so cute!

The kiddos loved their new creations!

We are also working on the seasons.  These kinders are making fall trees.  Then we worked on writing the word THE!

It was messy but FUN!

Letters letters and more letters

We are working very hard on our letters and letter names.

We played the game SNAP...it was a lot of fun.

Some of us worked on writing simple CVC words

We all played spill the basket.  We were working hard on the number four.

The highlight of our week is our story Plaidypus Lost.  It is about a little girl losing her plaidypus that her grandmother made from her grandfathers PLAID shirt.  So we LOVE to hear the following song.

P-P-P-P Pladypus

A day full of cookies!

Today we had fun participating in the O.R.E.O. project.  (Our Really Exciting Online Project) This is an online porject where classrooms around the world are invited to stack oreos as high as he or she can and then average all their individual results to see a class final.  Then we can see how our average compared to those schools around us.  It was a lot of fun!

Check out these faces......

Nothing is better than an O--R--E--O!

We are loving apples!

We were a very busy crew today.  We started off the day greeting others.  That is our behavior skill for the week.  We are working on using a pleasant voice and saying kind words.

We did lots of apple projects today.  We painted apple trees.  We worked hard to follow directions.

We tried to play the game poison apples, but Mrs. Timmerman learned that as a class we need to work on taking turns and playing a game without and adult right there :)! If you are a parent, this is something you could do at home, play a game with your child.

We also made a pattern block apple.

We worked on writing our numbers and counting.

Check out this proud kinder with her apple tree!

I LOVE MY JOB and spending the day with these wonderful kiddos!

We are learning and growing!

There is always time to DANCE!

We are learning more and more things to do at Word Work during Daily 5.  Here we are learning what to do with magnetic letters.

Another thing to do with magnetic letters.

There are so many options!

Grandma is always so helpful!

We learned a fun poem about apples and did a cool project.  We all need to work hard on our scissor skills.

We learned a fun game called poison apple.

We talked about the letter R yesterday.  We had to get the RABBIT out of the cage.  She hopped around and we had many laughs with Miss Nibbles.
