Crunch Time!

So excited! We have started planning for the new school year! We will be having fun with furry friends :)! I am so excited it will be so much fun!
Yesterday we met with all of the kindergarten teachers. It is so much fun to hear and collaborate with others.
However, the crunch time is here. My room looks like someone hasn't been there for a long long time. There is so much much to do and time is running out.
Today's list:

• Sneak Peek invitations
• Mail out invitations with class list
• Mail back loaner tech equipment
• Plan Girl Scout camping trip
• Get crafts ready for trip
• Pull carpet....

Yikes....but more importantly enjoy time with my KIDS! :)

Wow, the last two days I have had fun talking and learning with other kindergarten teachers at the Kindergarten Conference in Kearney. It is fun to hear others idea so I can use them in my classroom.
Tomorrow I am off to the classroom to make sense of the MESS! I will take some pictures. I have a lot of work to do.
Next year I will try to do the Daily 5 just like the book, so some revisions to the room need to take place. :) My goals for my room:

• Lots of little areas for the kids to work by themselves and with others
• NO TABLE GROUPS
• Areas for students to work on the ground (I have been reading that help children develop fine motor skills.)
• Literacy rich environment
• Math Daily 5 area
• Create more games and math drawers

Summer Fun

Yeah...Today I was surprised with a fun new document camera. It will be so great to use at the Kindergarten Conference. I am also so excited for the uses we can have in our classroom. Kids will have so much fun seeing their work projected onto the big Interactive board. Thanks Engaging Technologies. :)
